Ambar and Jawaad wed at Chiswick House

“Zehra I cannot thank you enough, I honestly look back at at my wedding photographs and just can’t stop smiling. We were told that the bride and groom never enjoy their own wedding but Jawaad and I really did enjoy ours. You’re amazing. You’re absolutely amazing Zehra. You’re the reason the day ran so smoothly and I was able to stay calm and enjoy it. You’re my favourite part about my wedding!!! (And Jawaad of course!)” Ambar

Chiswick is one of my fave places in London so when Ambar asked me to photograph her wedding at Chiswick House I was ecstatic! Chiswick House and Gardens has the perfect surroundings for a big Asian wedding.

Ambar arrived at the venue in a classic black Rolls Royce with her mum. As they stepped out of the car I was in awe of Ambar and mum Emma’s outfits. Ambar had the most beautiful light pink Pakistani bridal outfit with gold embroidery and emerald toned jewellery whilst Emma wore and elegant and chic fusion dress in a mustard yellow with her hair up in a low bun embellished with jasmine (I wonder where bride Ambar gets her sense of style from?!)

Even though it was July, we had rain in the morning, and rain in the early evening yet the guests were able to enjoy the stunning surroundings of Chiswick House. During the canapés, Ambar’s cousins handed out the traditional Pakistani fragrant chambeli (jasmine) bracelets for the girls to wear.

When Ambar made her entrance with her parents to Rahat Fateh Ali Khan’s ‘Aafreen Aafreen’, it was a magical moment. It was evident throughout the wedding that the importance of family and close friends came first. Ambar and Jawaad were blessed to have their grandparents at the ceremony, and the proud look on their faces made for the most beautiful moments I am always honoured to photograph at weddings.

Bride Ambar Noor with mum Emma, had planned the wedding meticulously to emulate Ambar’s Pakistani and English Heritage from the outfits and decor to the favours, table fabrics and east west mix of florals of jasmine and peonies . Funnily, whilst we were waiting for the Nikah to be recited I was talking to Emma and Ambar about how gorgeous Ambar’s outfit was, and how she epitomised an English Rose. Emma’s eyes lit up with glee and said “That was exactly what we were hoping for!” And an English Pakistani Rose she truly was. Here are some of my fave images from Ambar and Jawaad’s beautiful intimate wedding at Chiswick House in London.
