Intimate Wedding Inspo: Indian Tradition meets English Heritage

I’m totally in love with this set of images, and proud to say it recently featured in Khush magazine!!!

I’m British, born and raised in London, and the UK is always home for me, but a huge part of my identity is British, East African Asian and Indian- so I love to see cultures come together.

Quintessential English Decor and styling with rich coloured and intricate Indian bridal outfits… can a girl dream anymore?

Before I tell you about the images, I’m going to give a little shout out to the all-female team of suppliers on the day (girl power yay!). This group of women were amazing to work with- everyone wanted the same outcome, they worked together- pulled together helping out wherever needed to create a Client’s perfect dream wedding (and gorgeous imagery obviously!), and had some fun on the way.

SO back to the images, when Charan from Ivory Events asked me if I’d like to shoot an English Indian Heritage styled wedding, I was delighted! This was a styled shoot featuring real couple Ollie and Rozi, both of English and Indian Heritage.

Charan’s main aim was to provide luxury wedding inspo for intimate Asian Weddings. With the trend for intimate weddings set to rise in 2021, couples will be using gorgeous Exclusive venues like Alrewas Hayes, spending more quality time with smaller guest numbers, and splashing out on lots of fresh florals and wedding details like luxury custom designed favours (look out for the cute Indian outfit cookie favours in the images!).

What was lovely about working with a professional Wedding Planner like Charan, is they coordinate the day making the day run seamlessly for the couple and for wedding suppliers too.

What I loved about this wedding setup was the perfect balance of fresh floral decor in bold and muted tones , modest yet opulent cake, elegant stationery, gorgeous outfits, luxury gift arrangements- you can’t turn up to a wedding without a luxe envelope, box or tray in hand ;) Yet nothing was OTT. My kinda wedding!!
