βZehra, Thank you so much for making our do so special for us. We really loved your company and amazing shots! You were great at keeping everything to time anf both our families thought you were soo lovely, you really kept everyone in great spirits, Thanks so much for everything xxxxxβ Zainab
It was a gorgeous spring day that Zainab and Bilal were set to get married on the stunning grounds of Nunsmere Hall in Cheshire.
Zainab had chosen soft pink decor for her marquee wedding set on the stunning lakeside of Nunsmere Hall. Bride Zainab looked stunning in her traditional red toned lehnga from Burooj and groom Bilal complemented her beautifully.
After photographing Aishaβs and Yusufβs wedding the previous year, I was so honoured Zainab (Yusufβs sister), booked me to photograph hers. Iβm very blessed that ost of my work comes through referrals.
The moment Zainabβs mum walked into her room she started to cry, a typical mum reaction seeing her beautiful daughter all grown up. Zainabβs grandmother was the cutest, the way she doted on Zainab and Bilal was evident, I think she was the proudest person in the room.
Weddings are places you tend to bump into people and itβs lovely to see familiar faces, so hereβs a funny story-My mother tongue is an Indian dialect βkutchi, (a bit like sindhi),not many people will have come across. Whilst Iβm fairly fluent in Urdu and Gujarati, itβs nice to be able to speak in my own language. So it turned out that Bilalβs family also spoke kutchi, so whilst everyone was milling around excitable after arriving at the venue I spoke rather loudly in kutchi to get everyoneβs attention.
So after we managed to take some group photographs, Bilalβs aunt approached me asking lots of questions about my background, where I was from etc and I said βAunty I moved from London and donβt know many families in Manchesterβ. Then her sister came upto me and said βYep we definately know you, I met you last year at so and soβs wedding in Toronto, Canadaβ. So it turns out that the world really is a small place and they did know my family haha and were kind of related to me in a really long distant way!
Even though it was a cold day and the winter cold hadnβt quite left us we managed to get some lovely portraits on the grounds of Nunsmere Hall.
Here are some of my favourites from the day.
